Dynu gives you full control over all the DNS configurations for your domain names. You can log onto the control panel to manage your DNS records.

What is an RP record?

RP (Responsible Person) record stores the email address of the person responsible for the domain, which offers the opportunity to identify the responsible person for individual hostnames contained within the zone. Optionally, additional information such as phone and address can be provided in a TXT record of a given domain name.

How to add an RP record?

To add an RP record in the control panel, you may follow these 3 steps.

Listing Item Step 1

Log into control panel, go to Dynamic DNS Service Icon DDNS Services   and click on your domain name.

Listing Item Step 2

Go to DNS Records Icon DNS Records   to add an RP record. The screenshot below shows how to add an RP record for dynu.biz. We are leaving the node name empty because it is for the primary domain name dynu.biz.

Node Name   Enter the subdomain name for which you need the RP record, for example, subdomain1. Leave empty for the primary domain name.

Type   Choose "RP - Responsible Person".

TTL   How long the server should cache the information. The TTL is set in seconds, 60 is 1 minute, 1800 is 30 minutes.

Mailbox   The email address of the person responsible for the domain, entered in DNS format with the @ symbol replaced by a dot. For example, admin.dynu.biz represents admin@dynu.biz. This field is required.

TXT Domain Name   An optional domain name that points to a TXT record containing additional information about the responsible person, such as their phone number or address. For example, info.dynu.biz. If no additional information is available, enter a single dot (.) to indicate the field is absent.
