Hi, I have a question regarding setup of Dynamic DNS on a Virtual Machine (VMWare 15 and Fusion)

My architecture is as follows:

Server ->
VMWare Host ->
Orbi Mesh ->
Verizon FiOS Router

Questions:
1 I'm assuming I need to set up port forwarding on both routers?
2 I'm also assuming that if I have multiple VM servers I can install clients on each server with different host names and they will both resolve (I believe the maximum number of hosts I can support under the free plan is 4)

Also if it helps, the Verizon Router uses 192.168.0.x and the Orbi Router uses 10.0.0.x. Please advise if I need to make any changes here as well.

Thanks for your help!

PS -- There might also be another version of this question which is MacOS centric from yesterday. Sorry for the duplicate posts but there have been some potential changes.

1. Yes, you have to setup port forwarding on both routers so that the traffic can go back and forth from the server and internet.

2. There are two ways to do the update from each of the VM servers. You can use the hostname as you have mentioned. The other way which in your case you don't really need is to create 'Group' for each VM server and allocate hostnames into those groups. Use the 'Group' as part of your IP update setup in each VM server. The group makes it a bit easier to change the hostname mapped to the VM server without having to get into the VM server again.

Here is an example with two VM servers.

VM Server 1 uses Group1 for IP update which has 1 hostname vmserver1.kozow.com
VM Server 2 uses Group2 for IP update which has 2 hostnames vmserver2.kozow.com and mail.mydomain.com

Thanks. I will work on configuring that and working it out.
