Hi,

I hope you can help me with this problem please....

I'm running an apache server on Ubuntu 22.04.

I can secure my *.woxcons.com domains using Lets encrypt using certbot --apache but i get failures with *.thedarks.eu.

Both domains are registered with dynu and the unsecured test sites are reachable on the web.

What seems to be the problem with *.thedarks.eu? It was working on this server 5 days ago.

Many thanks.

Ed

the error is:

Certbot failed to authenticate some domains (authenticator: apache). The Certificate Authority reported these problems:
Domain: test.thedarks.eu
Type: dns
Detail: DNS problem: SERVFAIL looking up CAA for thedarks.eu - the domain's nameservers may be malfunctioning

Domain: www.test.thedarks.eu
Type: dns
Detail: DNS problem: SERVFAIL looking up CAA for thedarks.eu - the domain's nameservers may be malfunctioning

Hint: The Certificate Authority failed to verify the temporary Apache configuration changes made by Certbot. Ensure that the listed domains point to this Apache server and that it is accessible from the internet.
