I added a text record but I don't see it in the control panel or when I use DNS Lookup. Please advise.

TXT record for free third leve domains is supported for member accounts and free hostnames that are older than 1 month because it is often abused by spammers.

Thank you Timothy. I think my free hostname is older than 1 month, but now I can't be sure. Is there a way in the Control Panel to check how old my free hostname is?

There is no start_date in the control panel. If you retain the signup email, you may be able to check the date. Or you can post your hostname here.
