Hi, I am currently running my own server. However, when I was using roundcube, I could not send any email out and could not receive any email. Even when I tried to email to myself. Is this the result of ISP blocking certain ports? If it is, which email service should I use?

It is likely that your ISP is blocking inbound and outbound SMTP port 25. You can use email store/forward service to receive emails on an alternative port such as port 26, And SMTP outbound relay service to send emails through a relay email server. For instructions on how to set your service up, you may refer to https://www.dynu.com/Resources/Tutorials/EmailServices/EmailServiceSetup/EmailStoreForward.

I am sorry if I sound ignorant as I am totally new to this.

So if I use email store/forward service and SMTP outbound relay service, is it only serve for one domain? So let's say my server currently hosting two websites, which are domain1.com and domain2.com. After I setup myname@domain1.com, do I need another subscription for myothername@domain1.com? And do I need another subscription for myname@domain2.com?

Thank you.

You do not need separate subscriptions for myname@domain1.com and myothername@domain1.com because they are the same domain name. But you do need another subscription for myname@domain2.com as email service is domain name based.
