Server address only accepts IP address in my router

Topic: Server address only accepts IP address in my router
When adding the server address as "gnudip.dynu.com/gnudip/" or any address for that matter, I get this error: "The server address is invalid.'. The only way to make it go away is to type an IPV4 address.
So is there a solution for this issue or a workaround?!
